While it may be more fun to design a flashy lobby or other fancy focal point in your practice, veterinary architect Dan Chapel, AIA, NCARB, says you really need to plan for storage too. He also points out that the veterinary team needs room to function throughout the day, whether it's returning phone calls or just grabbing lunch. "Your staff is valuable and hard to keep, so you want to provide them some space of their own," he says. Watch the video for more.
