The placement of a veterinary clinic's isolation ward is a divisive subject. Here Dr. Ken Schenck of Mueller Pet Medical Center—the 2014 Hospital of the Year Award winner—shares the thought and planning that went into the orientation of his clinic's ward. dvm360 Business Channel Director Brendan Howard reports live from CVC.

HEPA filter in Surgery

I know this is not about isolation but it is about airflow. I have a couple of portable HEPA electrostatic filters one of which I want to place in my surgery room. It will be on timers so it runs, off and on, for 24/7 (dust is a big problem here in So Cal). My question is should it be on a shelf or on the floor? Most built in room filter/flow systems are in the ceiling but since dust settles??? Thank you for your answer/help
